The New Iberia Fire Department is committed to the safety of the citizens of New Iberia. Our main goals are the promotion of fire safety awareness and prevention and suppression of fires.

When a new business opens or an existing business changes owners or moves to another location, the New Iberia Fire Inspector must be contacted before electrical service can be provided.

For construction of a commercial building or remodeling of an existing business, please contact the New Iberia Fire Inspector before submitting your plans to the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office.

The City of New Iberia has earned a Class Two Public Fire Protection classification.
